The whole school has been exploring A Christmas Carol as our English text in the lead up to Christmas. Yr3 had fun designing and making our own scenes for the story.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In Science we have been exploring magnets and how they attract or reply.

 

 

 

 

Yr3 have been looking at linkages in DT and how to make things move. They have designed and made their own moving monsters using linkages.

 

 

Yr3 Oak and Pear had a visit from the Dog's Trust to learn about how to be safe around dogs.

 

 

 

 

As we prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation we have been rehearsing who says what as well as reflecting on our sins

 

 

 

 

We have been using the Iron Man book for our writing in English recently and have been inspired to design our own Iron giant.

 

 

 

We enjoyed our trip to Bishops Wood to learn all about the Stone Age. We took part in lots of activities such as making fire, making shelters and even hunting. The staff at Bishops Wood were all super impressed by the knowledge of the children so far.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Year 3 have been looking a place value and how digits are made.

 

 

 

 

Year 3 have been thinking about how to stay safe when online.

 

 

 

 

During One World Week Yr3 have been looking at Islam. We have been finding out about the signs and symbols in the Islamic faith and comparing them to Catholic signs and symbols.
